Jelly Cups

Notes:  These Jelly Cups were made for our Rapunzel Party so they represent Rapunzel and Flynn’s Boat Ride and I have just used blue jelly for the water.  I usually make Rainbow Jelly Cups for our Birthday Parties using a 1/4 cup measure for each colour of jelly used (letting each layer set before adding the next coloured layer).

Jelly Cups are so popular in our house that I make Red and Green Jelly Cups for my kids at Christmas.

6 Boxes should make 19 Jelly Cups (that’s 2 boxes of each colour for a 3-layered Rainbow Jelly Cup).

Here are the Directions to make approx. 19 cups for a Birthday Party:

Jelly Cups (Rapunzel & Flynn's boat in blue water jelly cups)
Jelly Cups (Rapunzel & Flynn’s boat in blue water jelly cups)

Ingredients:

6 Boxes Jelly (2 boxes each of 3 colours)

Boiling Water (2 Cups per 2 Boxes Jelly)

Cold Water (300 mls per 2 Boxes Jelly)

approx. 19 Jelly Cups (I use 200ml clear plastic cups)

Directions:

Take two boxes of the same coloured jelly and empty into a large mixing bowl.

Add 2 Cups of boiling water and carefully stir until all of the jelly crystals have dissolved.

Add 300mls of cold water and stir.

Leave jelly mixture on the bench to cool to room temperature.

Place your jelly cups on trays that will fit into your fridge.

Add 1/4 cup of jelly mixture to each cup and place trays in the fridge to allow jelly to set.

While your first layer of jelly is setting, follow the above instructions with your next chosen colour and allow it to cool on the bench until the jelly in the fridge has set completely.  If you don’t allow it to set completely your colours will mix together when you add the next layer.

Repeat above instructions until you have your 3 layers of coloured jelly.

And there you have it, Rainbow Jelly Cups.
