{"id":2721,"date":"2013-01-27T16:25:09","date_gmt":"2013-01-27T06:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/plate4eight.com\/?p=2721"},"modified":"2023-06-20T14:42:34","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T04:42:34","slug":"rissoles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/plate4eight.com\/?p=2721","title":{"rendered":"Rissoles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_1333-006.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2722\" title=\"Rissoles\" src=\"http:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_1333-006.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_1333-006.jpg 480w, https:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/IMG_1333-006-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes the kids just want meat and three veges, nothing fancy. &nbsp;This is a great recipe I picked up watching a cooking show that used to be on called &#8220;Fresh&#8230;..Cooking with The Australian Women&#8217;s Weekly&#8221;. &nbsp;I loved that show, and to tell you the truth there hasn&#8217;t been a basic cooking show to match it since. &nbsp;I used to watch it every day and choose one of their recipes to cook for dinner that night. &nbsp;That&#8217;s how basic and easy their recipes were. &nbsp;Recipes for the everyday cook. &nbsp;Anyway, this is a great rissole recipe that your kids are bound to love.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rissoles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>500g minced lean beef<br \/>\n1 onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n150g cubed crustless bread<br \/>\n2 eggs, lightly beaten<br \/>\n3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n\u00bc cup chopped parsley(I used Flat Leaf, but you can easily use dried)<br \/>\nSplash Tobasco sauce<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\nSeasoned flour<br \/>\n\u00bd cup chicken stock<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix with clean hands until well combined.<\/p>\n<p>Shape mince into large rounds, then roll through seasoned flour to coat.<\/p>\n<p>Heat equal amounts of both oil and butter in a large frying pan, add rissoles and cook until browned on both sides.<\/p>\n<p>Place in a preheated 200\u00b0C oven for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Once rissoles have cooked, remove from pan and keep warm.<\/p>\n<p>Return pan to heat, add stock and deglaze the pan.
