These potatoes come out crunchy and crispy, and I love them because I can toss the tray into the oven and let it bake away while I prepare the rest of the meal.&nbsp; So don&#8217;t be put off by their appearance, they&#8217;re a quick, easy and very more-ish side-dish that will have the family fighting over the last one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parmesan Baked Potato Halves<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/plate4eight.com\/?attachment_id=4135\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4135\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4135\" alt=\"P1010311-001\" src=\"http:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/P1010311-001-300x168.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/P1010311-001-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/plate4eight.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/P1010311-001.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>8 small Washed Potatoes, skin on<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 Cup Butter<\/p>\n<p>Grated Parmesan Cheese<\/p>\n<p>Garlic Powder (You may opt for fresh herbs instead)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat your oven to 200C.<\/p>\n<p>Cut potatoes into halves<\/p>\n<p>Place butter in the bottom of the baking dish you are planning to use and place into the oven to melt the butter.<\/p>\n<p>Watch carefully that the butter doesn&#8217;t burn.<\/p>\n<p>When butter has melted remove baking dish from the oven.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle Garlic Powder over the butter. &nbsp;How much you use depends on how garlicky you want your potatoes to be.<\/p>\n<p>Cover the melted butter generously with the grated parmesan cheese and place your potato halves cut-side-down on top of the cheese.<\/p>\n<p>Place into the oven for about 40-45 minutes until cooked through.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the baking dish from the oven and allow the potatoes at least 5 minutes to cool, otherwise the parmesan crust won&#8217;t stick to your potatoes.<\/p>\n<p>Serve with sour cream and chives if desired.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe is the adaptation of a recipe found at&nbsp;http:\/\/www.favfamilyrecipes.com\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now this may not be the prettiest of side dishes, but it is one of the scrummiest.&nbsp;
