This Week’s Menu Plan

215

What do you get when you take one Friday Night School Disco, mix it with a Saturday Birthday Party and add a Kindy Family Fun Day on Sunday?  Apparently you get a toddler with a nasty tummy bug! So much for improving our social life, I found myself sitting back in a far too familiar seat at the doctor’s surgery late yesterday afternoon.  Fortunately the very expensive anti-nausea medication he have her seems to be doing it’s job and things seem to be looking up today.  Cross all of your fingers for me that the other five don’t get it.  On a much brighter note, last night’s dinner (Yes, that would be Wednesday because I am running late) was fantastic.  I’m not usually one for using bought pasta sauces, and until my doctor’s visit I had every intention of making my own, but sometimes you just do what you’ve gotta do, and it was Paul Newman’s Garlic and Basil Pasta Sauce to the rescue.  I actually like to keep an emergency bottle of this in my pantry if I can because it is so much better than the other brands.  I don’t quite know why it hasn’t taken off here in Australia, it’s fantastic,(my new favourite word), but I’m not complaining because it is often on special and I can stash a few jars at a reasonable price.  So make sure you check out the recipe for Chicken Cannelloni in my menu plan, it’s amazing and a sinch to throw together at the last minute.
